Gunilla Süssmann

Gunilla Süssmann ( born June 2, 1977 in Bergen, Norway ) is a Norwegian pianist.

Life

Süssmann began as a six- year-old with the piano playing and won the Norwegian piano competitions in the years 1987 and 1995. She closed the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, and then went to the University of Music and Drama in Hanover, where she studied the subject piano. In 1996, she participated as a finalist in the competition Euro Vision Young Musicians of the European Broadcasting Union ( EBU).

  • 2007: Malinconia, with cellist Tanja Tetzlaff with works by Jean Sibelius, Edvard Grieg and Rachmaninoff.
  • 2007: Romanser, with soprano Solveig Kringlebotn works by Halfdan Kjerulf, Agathe Backer Grøndahl and Grieg.
  • 2012: Johannes Brahms: The Sonatas for piano and cello nr. 2 in F major, Op 99 and No. 1 in E minor op 38 with Tanja Tetzlaff.
