Gustaf Adolf Boltenstern, Jr.

Gustaf Adolf Boltenstern junior ( born May 15, 1904 in Stockholm; † 31 March 1995 Marie Fred ) was a Swedish dressage rider and officer. The son of Gustaf Adolf Boltenstern senior participated in four Olympic Games and won a medal each.

In the Summer Olympics 1932 in Los Angeles Boltenstern was the first time at the Swedish dressage team. With the horse Ingo he won team silver while he finished fifth in the individual standings. After he had not participated in 1936, he was in London in 1948 to trump third in the individual standings. The Swedish team had also finished the contest victorious, but was then disqualified.

1952 in Helsinki Boltenstern was on Krest first Olympic champion with the team after he had finished the individual competition in fifth place. 1956 found the rider competitions take place due to strict quarantine regulations not in Melbourne, but in Stockholm. With the same horse as four years before Boltenstern could again win the team gold medal in the individual competition he finished in seventh place.
