Gustav von Seyffertitz
Gustav Carl Maria Freiherr von Viktor Bodo Seyffertitz (* August 4, 1862 in Haim, Bayern, † December 25, 1943 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles ) was a German film actor and director of the silent film era.
Life
He was the second son of Guido Fhr. of Seyffertitz from Innsbruck and Anna Countess of Butler Clonebough to Haimhausen. Instead of beginning a career in the military, he became an actor and soon became a member of the Meiningen Court Theatre. In 1895 he went to the USA. There is established by Seyfferitz as a character actor on stage and 1917-1939 in 118 films. Gustav von Seyfferitz was co-star of Greta Garbo in The War in the darkness of 1928.
