Guy Sajer

Guy Mouminoux ( born January 13, 1927 in Paris ) is a French comic book artist and writer.

The son of a German mother and a French Mouminoux grew up in Alsace. In his childhood he reads thrilled comics like The Katzenjammer Kids by Harold Knerr or Popeye. After 1940, Alsace was occupied by German troops, recruited him the Division Greater Germany from a youth camp. Over time, from 1942 to 1945 in this division, he published in 1967 under the pseudonym Guy Sajer ( his mother's maiden name ), the autobiographical book " Le Soldat oublié " ( The Forgotten Soldier ), of which, translated into twenty languages ​​, about three million copies are sold. A hard, compelling and uncompromising book that was not without controversy in the English-speaking space (there appeared under the name " The forgotten Soldier" ). However, it is not epic, but rather a warning to all those who will war as an adventure. He was awarded the Prix des Deux Magots 1968. In Germany the work was published under the title "For this day ordeal was great" - a quote from Friedrich Schiller's " Wallenstein's Death ", which aims to express that a time of agonizing uncertainty or great mental and physical tension is behind you. From 1946 Mouminoux drew comics for French children 's and youth magazines. In 1959, he created the adventure series " Blason d' Argent", which at Cœurs Vaillant (later Formule 1), a Catholic youth magazine. 1964 he joined Pilote and created 1966-1970 " Goutatou et Chaux Dora ," his first major comedic series. In 1970 he created " Prémolaire " for Formule 1 and " Rififi " for Tintin, two other humorous series.

From 1975 he published under the name Dimitri and Dimitri Lahache more comics. In Germany, only a few of his works have been published.
