Gypsy & The Cat

Gypsy & The Cat is an indie or dream pop duo from Melbourne, Australia, and consists of the two DJs Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers.

Career

The band had their first gig in 2010 in London. In November 2010, the debut album massive airplay published with the title Gilgamesh, from the few pieces on Australian radio stations like Triple J and Nova received. A total of three of the titles, with a placement in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2010. Gypsy & The Cat were nominated for the Australian Music Prize J Award 2010.

In June 2011, the band went on tour in Australia. They performed as the opening act for Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite on tour. From August 2011, the song Jona Vark of the band in the trailers of the music channel VIVA was played, sparking Youngblood of the New Zealand band The Naked and Famous from. Jona Vark was released on August 5, 2011 in Germany, the associated album Gilgamesh followed on August 26.

In autumn 2011, their song Time To Wander became the title of a carrier Vodafone commercials. The song was released on December 9, 2011 for download on German music portals.

The second album, titled "The Late Blue " was released on October 19, 2012 in Australia. A release in Europe is planned for early 2013.
