Geography

Grove is located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains near Hohenleuben on the eastern shore of the pent-up by the dam Leuba Leuba.

History

Hain was first mentioned in documents in 1462. The name refers to a German foundation, which is also confirmed by the village, and the corridor system. Later, the town belonged to the dominion of the House of Reuss, where he most recently was under the elder line, before he came to Thuringia in 1920. Beginning of the 1980s, some of the buildings of the town were flooded by the damming of Leuba.
