Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines is a Chinese airline based and based in Haikou.

History

Hainan Airlines was founded in 1993 and adopted on 13 May of the same year, flight operations on.

It was built as part of the HNA Group, which still operates several other airlines, however, is engaged in the hotel industry in particular. This company holds directly and indirectly through its holdings - including the Haikou Meilan Airport - - only 16 percent of Hainan Airlines. However, the largest shareholder of Hainan Airlines with 48 percent of Grand China Air, which in turn is indirectly controlled by the government of the eponymous Pronvinz Hainan.

In January 2011, the first Chinese airline with 5 of 5 stars by Hainan Airlines by Skytrax.

Destinations

Hainan Airlines flies mainly to destinations within China. The two major hub airports are Beijing and Haikou, which is home base at the same time. However, Hainan also has several international destinations in the program, including Europe Berlin- Tegel and Brussels. The direct flight to Zurich was canceled without replacement on the winter timetable 2013/14.

Code Sharing

Hainan Airlines has codeshare agreements with Air Berlin, Garuda Indonesia, Hong Kong Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Rossiya.
