Háj u Duchcova

Haj u Duchcova ( German Haan ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It lies at the foot of the Erzgebirge.

History

The place is first mentioned in the founding documents of the monastery Ossegg 1203. After the monastery by Prince Slávek of Ossegg was handed over to the Cistercians in addition to other settlements also Haj. Since the early 1930s, the village of Osek tried to become independent. 1950, was appointed by the Czech Parliament an independent municipality.

The village Haj u Duchcova consists of the districts and Katastralbezirken Domaslavice (Deutz village) and Haj u Duchcova ( Haan ). The village of Haj u Duchcova divided into the local locations Horni Haj (Upper Haan ) and Dolni Haj ( Sub Haan ).
