HÃ¥kon Kyllingmark
Håkon Kyllingmark ( born January 19, 1915 in Honningsvag, Nordkapp, Finnmark, † 12 August 2003) was a Norwegian politician of the conservative Høyre and among other things, long-time deputy in the Storting, Minister of Defense and Minister of Transport.
Life
After schooling Kyllingmark entered 1934 in the officer candidate school ( Befalskole ) and completed after 1937, the Air Force Training School ( Flyvåpenets Speiderskole ). During the Second World War he served in 1940 and 1943 to 1945 his military service against the German Wehrmacht.
After the war he was 1945-1965 dispatcher where his family owned wholesale company H. Kyllingmark A / S and was active from 1947 to 1953 in the homeland defense ( Heimevernet ) as Major and Chief of the Home Guard District of Northern Helgeland. In the early 1950s he also began his political career when he 1952-1963 member of the town council of Svolvær.
1954 Kyllingmark was elected as the candidate of Høyre first time as a deputy in the Storting, in which he held until 1981, the province of Nordland represented. During this time he was 1958-1970 and second vice chairman of the Høyre.
On August 28, 1963, he was appointed Minister of State John Lyng after the Kings Bay Affair Minister of Defence in the government, however, resigned after only less than a month on 25 September 1963.
Existing after the formation of from Høyre, Senterpartiet (Sp), Venstre (V) and Kristelig Folkeparti (KrF ) coalition government braids under Minister of State Per braids on 12 October 1965 Kyllingmark Transport Minister and held this ministerial office until the end of Bortens term of office on 17 March in 1971. Later he was from 1973 to 1981 Chairman of the Group of Høyre in the Storting.
Last time was Kyllingmark after leaving the Storting 1981-1991 Member of the Supervisory Board of the Norwegian Central Bank ( Norges Bank).
For his many years of service he has received several awards and was among other things, commander of the St. Olav's Order. In addition, he also received the Croix de Guerre 1939-1945.
