Halámky

Halámky ( German Witschkoberg ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers north- west of České Velenice and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

The village is located on the right side of the Mäanderlaufes Lainsitz on the European road 49/Staatsstraße 24 leading south-east over the border crossing Halámky / New Nail mountain in Austria. Neighboring towns are Ochůzky in the north, Spáleniště in the northeast, Kunšach to the east, New Nail mountain in the southeast, Nová Ves nad Lužnicí in the south, Dvory nad Lužnicí in the west and Hrdlořezy in the northwest.

History

In the 14th century the settlement of the area took place Weitraer. Witschkoberg was one of the later start-ups, as emergence period is 1730 accepted. In earlier historical Map of the area, the place is not yet registered. His name is Kopec a Eindeutschung of Slavic Vlčkův. The first documented evidence of the village to the rule Heidenreichstein associated village dating from 1783. Pending the implementation of parish leg courts in 1788 Witschkoberg was gepfarrt to Gmünd.

In 1900 the village consisted of 54 houses and 499 inhabitants had. After the First World War, the Lower Austrian town belonged to the part of Weitraer area, which has been granted in the Treaty of Saint- Germain in 1920 Czechoslovakia.

1930 386 people lived in the village. 1938, a new school building was purchased. 1939 Witschkoberg 313 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement of 1939, the site was assigned to the German district of Gmünd until 1945. After the end of World War II he returned to Czechoslovakia. Today Halámy consists of 99 houses and 21 recreation facilities.

For the community Halámky no districts are reported. The long-drawn village is distinguished by its inhabitants in Dolejšek and Hořejšek ( Lower and Upper part).
