Hamad Ndikumana

Hamad Ndikumana ( born October 5, 1978 in Kigali ) is a Rwandan footballer, currently without a club is.

Career

Ndikumana began his professional career in 1998 at his hometown club Rayon Sport. But after only one year as a professional there, he moved to Europe and indeed the Belgian second division club KV Turnhout. Also after a season he moved to the top club in the Jupiler League Anderlecht, but where he made a single game and the club turn left after one year. He was transferred to KV Mechelen. There he played about half the season. He then played for KAA Gent, where he finally became a regular player. After two years he moved to Cypriot club APOP Kinyras Peyias. Then he drove himself around at several Cypriot clubs, such as Nea Salamis Famagusta and then at local rivals Anorthosis Famagusta. After several disputes with the then coach Temuri Ketsbaia, he announced his contract there and moved to Omonia Nicosia. A year later he signed a four year contract with AEL Limassol. In 2011 he moved to APOP Kinyras Peyias was leaving the club and in the same year.

National

Ndikumana wore large role in ensuring that the Rwandan national football team managed to their first and only final collection at the African Cup and indeed at the Africa Cup of 2004. He was elected as the best player of Rwanda.

After the 0-1 defeat in qualifying for World Cup 2006 against Angola, he was never called back for the national team because he is alleged to have helped Angola to qualify for the World Cup.
