Hamferð

Hamferð is a Faroese band that makes Doom Metal with Faroese texts.

History

The band was founded in 2008 in Tórshavn and took in the fall of 2009, the first demo recordings on. After Hamferð won the band competition Sement the following year they recorded their first EP, which was released under the title Vilst he síðsta fet. After several gigs in their home followed 2011, the first European tour of the band, in which she played the opening act for Týr and Moonsorrow.

2012 took part in the band at Wacken Metal Battle and won an appearance at the Wacken Open Air and a record deal with Nuclear Blast. Latter refused Hamferð from however. So the debut album appeared EVSt 2013 at the Faroese label Tutl.
