The Hangendgletscherhorn in the ascent of the Gaulihütte

The Hangendgletscherhorn is a 3291.9 -meter-high mountain in the north-eastern Bernese Alps.

It is located east of the Wetterhorn and south of Engelhörner and concludes the Urbach valley. In the south the Hangendgletscherhorn is circled by the Gauligletscher, to the west it coincides with the Tälligrat for Matt Alpsee (1874 m ) from. In the western flank lies the small Hangendgletscher.

Summit routes

Starting point for an ascent is the one located at ( 2205 m), Gaulihütte, which can be achieved by Innertkirchen by the Urbach.

The normal route takes you through the Chammmlibachtälchen and on the east ridge and is rated with a little difficult.

About the Chammligrat ( south-east ) performs a simple climb in the II -III. Degrees. The starting point is also the Gaulihütte.

In winter, the Hangendgletscherhorn can also be mounted on a ski tour.
