Hans Hartmann-MacLean
Hans Hartmann- MacLean, actually Hans Rudolf Hartmann, ( born May 20, 1862 in Dresden, † December 28, 1946 ) was a German sculptor.
Life
Hartmann- MacLean attended the Dresden Anne School and studied from 1879 to 1885 at the Dresden Art Academy. Among his teachers belonged to the sculptor Johannes Schilling, from 1881 worked in his studio Hartmann- MacLean to 1885. From 1885 to 1887, he undertook a study trip to Italy with a travel scholarship from the Academy and remained some time in Rome. In 1900 Hartmann- MacLean was a lecturer at the academy and later a professor. Also took place in 1900 was appointed honorary member of the Dresden Art Academy. Hartmann- MacLean died at the age of 84 years in Dresden. His grave is located on the Trinity Cemetery.
