Hans Pesser

Johann " Hans " Pesser ( born November 7, 1911 in Vienna, † 12 August 1986 ) was an Austrian and German football player and coach.

Life

Pesser played as a striker in the 1930s and 1940s for SK Rapid Wien. He was 1935-1937 eight times for Austria actively and scored three international goals, before he ran aground twelve times for Germany after the Anschluss and two international goals scored. In 1938 he participated with the German national team at the World Cup in France. There he was placed as the first German player at the World Cup from the square in the first game against Switzerland.

After his time as a player, he served as a successful coach, he coached from 1945 until 1953 Rapid Wien ( four league titles, a Cup victory ), 1953-1960 Wiener Sport-Club (two league titles ) and Admira ( a league title, two cup wins ). In between, he coached again the Austrian national team.
