Hansle Parchment

Hansle Parchment ( born June 17, 1990 in St. Thomas ) is a Jamaican hurdler.

Career

In 2007 Parchment Jamaican youth champion in the 110- meter hurdles was. In the same year he took part in the Youth Athletics World Championships in Ostrava, where he reached the semifinals, where he finished fifth with a time of 14.13 seconds.

In 2011 he won the gold medal at the Summer Universiade 2011 in Shenzhen. In the final round he scored a new personal best with 13.24 seconds.

In the Jamaican Olympic Trials in June 2012, he qualified as a winner for participating in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. There he reached the final of the 110 meters hurdles and won the Olympic bronze medal in third place - this was the first ever obtained for Jamaica Olympic medal in the 110 meter hurdles. He put in the final run with renewed increase his personal best to 13.12 seconds in addition to a new Jamaican record in this discipline.

On June 1, 2013, in Eugene won with 13.05 s He not only set a new Personal Best and Weltjahresbestleistung, but also our own Jamaican national record.

Parchment studied psychology at the University of the West Indies in Kingston ( Jamaica). He is trained by Fitz Coleman.
