Hapoel Petah Tikva F.C.

Hapoel Petach Tikva (also Hapoel Petah -Tikva ) is an Israeli football club was established in 1934. The club, based in Petah Tikva has sprung the Israeli labor movement (→ Histadrut ). The word Hapoel means the worker.

History

Hapoel Petah Tikva in the past was often a dominant force in the Ligat ha Al, the Israeli premier league. For the first time in 1976, the club got off from the first division, but returned in 1978 back again. 1982 folgre another relegation for two years.
