Harald Marg
Harald Marg ( born September 26, 1954 in Magdeburg ) is a former German canoeist, the 1980 Olympic champion for the GDR.
Marg, who competed for the SC Magdeburg, won from 1973 to 1983 at the World Championships six gold medals and five silver medals and two bronze medals, mostly in the four-man kayak. In 1971 he won four in Spartakiade. In 1978 and 1979 he won two distances the world title. The DDR - four on the 1000 - meter distance remained in the same occupation in the GDR championships in 1978, 1979 and 1980, two World Championships and the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow unbeaten.
