Harnack medal
The Harnack Medal is a scientific award, which is awarded by the Max Planck Society.
The was founded in 1924 Harnack Medal is the highest award for special services to the Max Planck Society. By 1936, the ceremony of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society was awarded in 1953 by the Max Planck Society. The award is made on the basis of a Senate resolution of the Max Planck Society by the President.
It is named after Adolf von Harnack, founded in 1911, founding president of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society for the Advancement of Science.
