Kewell, son of an Englishman and an Australian woman, went to the Westfields Sports High School, and began there the first time at the football games. At the age of 15 years, Harry Kewell got a contract with Leeds United, where he first went aground in a 0-1 home defeat by Middlesbrough FC on 30 March 1996.
