Harry Myers
Harry Myers ( born September 5, 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut, † December 25, 1938 in Hollywood ) was an American actor and silent film director.
Life
Harry Myers began his career as a stage actor. In 1908 he made his first film appearance. Together with his wife Rosemary Theby he appeared in the silent film comedy series Lubin and Vim, for which he was responsible as a director. His most successful films, he played in the 1920s. In 1921 he played the lead role in A Yankee at the court of King Arthur by Mark Twain, 1922, he played the Robinson Crusoe. He had his last major appearance in 1931 Charles Chaplin's City Lights as a millionaire. With the beginning of the sound film, he received only the smallest supporting roles.
Myers died at the age of 56 years of pneumonia.
