Harry Winer

Harry Stuart Winer ( born May 4, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American film director, screenwriter and film producer

Life

After completing his bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan, Harry Winer studied at the film school of the University of Southern California, where he received his master. This was followed by a fellowship from the American Film Institute, where he worked in the director's program at films like blood trail of the killer Ladies and The Day of the Locust. With The Legend of Bigfoot documentation he gave in 1976 his directorial debut. This was followed by television films such as Space Camp, The beaten man and The Bible - Jeremiah before with Slash Media Films founded his own production company in 2001.

Winer is married to actress Shelley Hack and the couple have a daughter.
