Hawthornden Prize

The Hawthornden Prize is a British literary prize. The prize was donated by Alice Warrender in 1919; he is named after the Scottish poet William Drummond of Hawthornden. In addition to the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, donated in the same year, he is one of Britain's oldest literary awards. The prize is awarded on a yearly basis; come into question all kinds of imaginative literature ( " imaginative literature" ), which includes not only prose, poetry and drama among others, biographies and travelogues are counted. Certainly no winners: In total 22 years so far has been (2010 version). The price is currently worth 10,000 pounds.
