Heather Oakes

Heather Oakes (born Hunte, born August 14, 1959 in London) is a former British sprinter.

At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, she won the first leg of the British 4 x 100 meters relay together with Kathy Smallwood - Cook, Beverley Goddard and Sonia Lannaman the bronze medal behind the teams from East Germany and the Soviet Union. Another Olympic bronze medal in the relay she took in 1984 in Los Angeles behind the teams from the United States and Canada. This time, Oakes final leg behind Simmone Jacobs, Kathy Cook and Beverley Goddard.
