Heather Watson

Heather Miriam Watson (born 19 May 1992, Guernsey) is a British tennis player who comes from the island of Guernsey.

Career

At the age of seven years, Watson began playing tennis. At twelve, she moved to Florida to train at the Tennis Academy of Nick Bollettieri. She prefers to play on hard court.

On September 13, 2009 Watson won the U.S. Open junior girls. She defeated in the finals Jana Butschina from Russia with 6:4 and 6:1.

On 14 October 2012, she succeeded in Osaka at the HP Japan Women's Open, the first title in the individual on the WTA Tour, as they in the finals, the Taiwanese Kai- chen Chang in a three hour long match after ward off five match points with 7: 5, 5:7, 7:64 defeated.
