Heinrich Hiesinger

Heinrich Hiesinger ( born May 25, 1960 in Bopfingen ) is a German industrial managers and since January 21, 2011 Executive Board Chairman of ThyssenKrupp AG.

Life

He grew up on a farm, went to school and finished high school before he went to the Technical University of Munich, where he earned his diploma in 1986 as an electrical engineer. In 1991 he received his doctorate.

After he had worked from 1986 to 1991 as a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich, he came in 1992 to Siemens. Before his appointment to the RI Board, he held various positions within the Group. He was appointed head of the Siemens Metering AG in train / Switzerland, which now operates under the name Landis Gyr 1999. In 2000 he was appointed to the Board of Management for Power Transmission and Distribution. Three years later he was again sent as " renovators " to Switzerland - namely as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Building Technologies AG, which is now merged with the regional company Siemens Switzerland AG.
