Hejnice (Ústí nad Orlicí District)

Hejnice ( German Heinitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers north of Usti nad Orlicí and belongs to Okres Ústí nad Orlicí.

Geography

Mariazell in the Eagle foothills at the foot of the hill Humperk the headwaters of the creek Libchavský. To the east rises the 538 m high Kozinec, south-east lie the ruins of the castle Žampach.

Neighboring towns are Česká Rybná in the north, Dlouhoňovice in the northeast, Písečná in the east, in the southeast Žampach, Hlavná and Křižánky in the south, České Libchavy the southwest, Sopotnice in the west and Moštárna in the northwest.

History

Was first documented belonging to the reign Žampach village in 1544th The existence of the local part Křižánky is detectable in writing since 1376.

1921 was Hejnice of 59 houses and had 276 inhabitants. Křižánky belongs to the municipality since 1960, previously it was a district of Žampach. 1998 was the community of 80 houses and 200 residents had. A quarter of the houses is only used as holiday homes.

The municipality consists of the villages Hejnice Hejnice ( Heinitz ) and Křižánky (cross hooves ).
