Hel van het Mergelland
The Volta Limburg Classic ( to 2011 Hel van het Mergelland ) is a Dutch road race.
The one-day race will be held in the province of Limburg since 1973. Until 1992 it was a pure amateur race in 1993 it was included in the UCI calendar in the category of 1.5 for the first time. Since 2005 part of the race for UCI Europe Tour and is classified in category 1.1. Record winner is the Dutchman Raymond Meijs with four hits.
2001 edition of the race fell out due to the occurrence of foot-and -mouth disease.
