Helsinki City Marathon

The Helsinki Marathon (official name Gatorade Helsinki City Marathon ) is a marathon in Helsinki, held annually usually in August since 1981. He is next to the Stockholm Marathon and the Copenhagen Marathon one of the largest marathons in Northern Europe.

Route

The start of the Helsinki Marathon in front of the Olympic Stadium. The track itself is a circular route, which runs through the city center and some of the offshore islands of Helsinki over large parts along the Baltic coast to the target in the Olympic Stadium. On the course, numerous attractions of the city are happening, such as the Parliament Building, the Finlandia Hall and the Kaivopuisto Park.
