Henning Carlsen

Henning Carlsen ( born June 4, 1927 in Aalborg, Denmark ) is a Danish film director, film producer, screenwriter and editor.

Life

Henning Carlsen is the son of Svend Julius Carlsen, a wool merchant, and Karen Margrethe Ellermann. From 1948 to 1953 he worked at Minerva Film in Copenhagen, where he assisted, among others, the documentary filmmaker Theodor Christensen. From 1953 to 1957 he made ​​several educational and documentary films for Nordisk Film. During this time he studied film in Paris in 1995. From 1968 to 1981 he was director of the Dagmar Teatret in Copenhagen. He also worked occasionally as a journalist for Dagbladet policies and information as well as for the Danish Radio.
