Henry Grey, 10th Earl of Kent
Henry Grey, 10th Earl of Kent (* November 24, 1594, † May 28, 1651 ) was an English nobleman.
Grey was the eldest son of Anthony Grey, 9th Earl of Kent, and Magdalene Purefoy.
In his first marriage he was with Maria Courteen, a daughter of Sir William Courteen, and his second wife, Annabel Benn, a daughter of Sir Anthony Benn, married. The couple had two children:
- Anthony Grey, 11th Earl of Kent ( 1645-1702 )
- Elizabeth Grey († 1714).
From the Long Parliament in 1646 Grey was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire; he held until his death in this office. He was also a member of the governing body of the Parliament, a precursor of a government in his last years.
1643 Grey inherited when his father died its title. This went over to his son at his death.
