Henry II, Duke of Brunswick-Grubenhagen

Henry II of Brunswick Grubenhagen (c. 12891351 ), called Henry of Greece ( de Grecia ), from the Guelph dynasty, was Duke of Brunswick- Grubenhagen.

Life

He was the son of Henry the strange ones and his wife Agnes, née Countess of Meissen. Henry the Whimsical founded after a Welf inheritance in 1291, the Principality Grubenhagen. This Principality was already over the other Guelph demesnes of rather small territory. Henry II could not take the undivided domination of the Principality therefore.
