Henry IX of Lubin

Henry IX. of Liegnitz ( Heinrich IX of Lubin, . * 1369, † 1419 or 1420 ) was Duke of Liegnitz and 1399 bis 1419/20 Duke of Lüben, Ohlau and Haynau. He came from the family of the Silesian Piast dynasty.

Origin and family

His parents were Duke Henry VIII († 1399 ) and his first wife Helen, daughter of Duke Otto VIII († 1334 ) of Orlamünde.

In 1396 Henry married Anna († 1403 ), daughter of the Duke of Teschen Przemislaus. The couple had children

Life

After the death of his father Henry VIII in 1399 divided Heinrich and his younger half-brother Ludwig II inherited ownership, with Heinrich Lüben, Ohlau, Nimptsch and semi Haynau received while fell to Louis Brieg with cross and castle Konstadt.
