Henry Joseph Soenneker

Henry Joseph Soenneker ( born May 27, 1907 in Melrose, Minnesota, USA; † 24 September 1987) was Bishop of Owensboro.

Life

Henry Joseph Soenneker received on 26 May 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On March 10, 1961, he was named by Pope John XXIII. Bishop of Owensboro. The Bishop of Saint Cloud, Peter William Bartholome, donated to him on 26 April of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Duluth, Francis Joseph Schenk, and the Bishop of Sioux City, Joseph Maximilian Mueller.

On June 30, 1982 Pope John Paul II accepted the Henry Joseph Soenneker put forward reasons of age resignation.
