Peter William Bartholome

Peter William Bartholome ( born April 2, 1893 in Belle Chester, Minnesota, USA, † June 12, 1982 in St. Cloud) was Bishop of Saint Cloud.

Life

Peter William Bartholome received on 12 June 1917, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On December 6, 1941, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Titular Bishop of Lete and ordered him Coadjutor Bishop of Saint Cloud. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Giovanni Cicognani Amleto, donated to him on March 3, 1942, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Crookston, John Hubert Peschges, and the Bishop of Saint Cloud, Joseph Francis Busch. On 31 May 1953, Peter William Bartholome in succession to the late Joseph Francis Busch Bishop of Saint Cloud.

Pope Paul VI. adopted on 31 January 1968 by Peter William Bartholome the argument put forward on grounds of age resignation and appointed him titular bishop of Tanaramusa. On January 13, 1971 Peter William Bartholome renounced the titular Tanaramusa.

Peter William Bartholome participated in the first, third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council.
