Herbert Hoos

Herbert Hoos ( born July 18, 1965 in Waldaschaff ) is a former German football player.

Hoos played as a youth for Victoria Waldaschaff and Viktoria Aschaffenburg.

From 1983 to 1990, the defensive midfielder was in 133 Bundesliga games for 1.FC Kaiserslautern, on the court, scoring seven goals. His greatest achievement was winning the DFB Cup with FCK 1990.

Until February 4, 2006, when he replaced Daniel Halfar he was the youngest Bundesliga top scorer of the FCK. The record hits he scored on October 1, 1983, when he was 18 years and 75 days old. His first Bundesliga goal was the equalizer to make it 2-2 standings in the 3-3 draw at home to Werder Bremen. His first in the league, he had just four weeks after his 18th birthday. On the first day of the 1983/84 season he joined coach Dietrich way in the 73rd minute of the match against Hamburger SV for Axel Brummer one.

The Palatines he was seven seasons to the permanent staff. His last assignment in the Bundesliga he had on the final day of the season 1989/90 against 1 FC Nuremberg. As his first ended his last Bundesliga game with a defeat.

On April 17, 1984 Hoos was used for the first and only time in the U-21 national team. At 0-0 in Aschaffenburg against Greece, he came in to replace the Braunschweiger Michael Scheike.

From 1990 to 1994 he worked for Rot-Weiss Frankfurt and from 1994 to 2001 he was player-coach of FC Erlenbach to the championship in the district league.
