Hermann Höfer

Hermann " pin " Höfer ( * July 19, 1934, † 22 October 1996) was a German football player and functionary who has participated as a player of the German national football team of amateurs at the Summer Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956.

Career

Höfer occurred at the age of fifteen Eintracht Frankfurt and remained loyal to the club until his career end. 1953 debuted the defender in the first team, in which he was to complete a total of over 300 games until 1966. In concord jersey he celebrated among others, the German championship in 1959. Hermann Höfer played for Eintracht 224 league games in which he scored 17 goals.

From 1963 to 1966 he played with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and completed it 68 games in which he scored at once for the seasons 1964/65 and 1965/66. Overall, he came to 292 league games and 19 league goals for Eintracht.

In the years 1954-1957 Höfer completed six matches in the German national football team of amateurs. With this he entered on November 24, 1956 in Melbourne at the 1956 Olympics to eventual Olympic champion Soviet Union, the team retired after the 1:2 final result but from already after the first game of the tournament.

In the season 1981/82 he was Vice President of concord.
