Hermética

Hermetica ( it., hermetically ') was an Argentine thrash metal band from Buenos Aires, which was founded in 1987 and in 1994 separated again. It counts with Lethal and HORCAS to the most important Argentine metal bands.

History

The band was formed in 1987 by bassist and singer Ricardo Iorio, after his previous band had dissolved V8. A short time later met guitarist Antonio Romano, Fabián Spataro drummer and singer Claudio O'Connor joined the band. Their first gig the band had in May 1888 in a club in San Martin. Their self-titled debut album followed in 1989. A Cover EP called Intérpretes appeared in 1990. The next album called Acido Argentino followed in 1991, with Claudio Strunz was heard on a new drummer. In 1992, the band played as the opening band for Black Sabbath at the Obras Sanitarias in Buenos Aires.

In the following years, several publications have appeared live. In the meantime, Iorio started a small side project. It was only in 1994 appeared with Victimas Del Vaciamiento another studio album. In the same year, the band played the Monsters of Rock along with Slayer, Black Sabbath and Kiss. Because of disputes in the band fell apart this in the same year. From the decay of the band, some other bands like Malón and Almafuerte founded.

In 2002, a tribute CD called Homenaje was published appears. On this were listening to artists such as Tren Loco, Renacer, Carina Alfie, Kybalion, as well as some smaller bands.

Music style

Hermeticas music style combines thrash speed and power metal elements and is more melodic than the Lethal and HORCAS. Her first two works contain harder, more aggressive material and are their most popular publications. The newer recordings incorporate more melodic, classic heavy metal elements.
