Heubach Telecommunication Tower

The transmitter Heubach is a 142 meter high telecommunications tower of Deutsche Telekom AG on the glass mountain in Heubach in Baden- Württemberg. It is used in addition to the radio, the mobile and the bad radio the spread of FM radio and the amateur radio service.

History

1960, negotiations began between the German Post Office and the City of Heubach the construction of a radio tower to expand the telephone traffic and to allow the broadcast of the second television program. The location alternatives were Rosenstein, who was considered suitable as a radio technology better, and later realized location Glasberg, who was favored under conservation aspects. Equipment

In contrast to most telecommunications towers without operating pulpit of Heubach tower has an observation deck open to the public, which is located at a height of 25 meters and is accessed via a staircase with 139 steps.
