Higashikunisaki District, ÅŒita

Higashikunisaki (Japanese东 国 东郡, -gun ) is a county in the prefecture of Oita in the south of Japan.

The county had 2,898 inhabitants ² in April 2006 on an area of 6.75 km. The population density is 429.33 inhabitants / km ².

Communities

On 31 March 2006, the cities Aki, Kunimi, Kunisaki and Musashi merged to form independent city Kunisaki.

The only remaining town in the district and also the only borough in the whole prefecture is Himeshima.
