Hikmet Sami Türk

Hikmet Sami Türk ( born 1935 in Of) is a Turkish legal scholars, politicians (DSP ) and former Minister of Justice.

Life

After the study (up to 1958) at the University of Istanbul, he received his PhD in 1964 on "The transformation of commercial companies - a comparative study by the German and Turkish Law" at the University of Cologne. In 1967, he took up teaching at the University of Ankara, where he acquired in 1977 the degree " doçent " and habilitated in 1988.

From 1995 to 2002 he was a member of for the province of Trabzon the Grand National Assembly. In the cabinet Yılmaz III (June 30, 1997-11. January 1999), he was responsible for human rights minister. In the cabinet he was Defense Minister Ecevit IV and was dated 28 May 1999 to August 5, 2002 Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey.

Since 2005 he has held the chair of constitutional law, commercial law, competition law and maritime law at Bilkent University in Ankara.
