Hindenburgkanzel

The Hindenburg pulpit seen from the parking lot below the pulpit

The 1062 m high Hindenburg pulpit is a projecting rock barrier in the northern Bavarian forest on the border between the Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria.

It is located directly above the Brennesstraße that in the Lower Bavarian district of rain leads Lohberg in the Upper Palatinate district of Cham by Bavarian Eisenstein. In addition, the viewing platform between the mountains and Zwercheck Arber is; from here you can enjoy a very good view of the Lamer Winkel and Osser.

Formation

During the construction of the disc road that leads from the Lamer angle up to Brennesstraße, the observation deck was exposed. The construction workers encountered during construction of the road on an obstacle - the Roth inch bars. To circumnavigate the colossus and to realize the road in a reasonable slope, you blew up a portion of the latch away. What remained was the impressive rock pulpit. The viewing platform named those responsible in honor of the then Reich President and Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg Hindenburg pulpit. On the Hindenburg pulpit a plaque on the 50th anniversary of the Bavarian Forest Association reminds (founded in 1883).
