Hinterer Wildgundkopf

Rear Wildgundkopf ( gently curved top on the left side ) from Älpelekopf. To the right of the Front Wildgundkopf. On the far right of the Himmelschrofen. In the back comb left the Schafalpenkopf group and right of the Oberstdorf Hammerspitze

The Rear Wildgundkopf is a 1,955 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps. It lies in the south of the Middle Himmelschrofenzug Wildgundkopfes and north of the narrow horn. In the eastern flank of the rear Wildgundkopfs lies at about 1720 meters height a cave, called the wormhole.

Ascent

On the rear Wildgundkopf leads no marked path. He can be reached either from the north or from the south from the Middle Wildgundkopf from the narrow horn. Both paths require slip resistance, climbing and mountaineering experience in trackless terrain.
