Himmelschrofen

Himmelschrofen from the south from the summit of the Middle Wildengundkopfes

The Himmelschrofen is a 1,791 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps. It separates the Trettachtal from Stillachtal. According to him, the running up to the Trettachspitze ridge is called Himmelschrofenzug. Although he has only peak points with 1,672 m, 1,780 m and 1,790 m, he dominated by its proximity to mountains in the south of Oberstdorf. Only in the Iller, for example in Sonthofen, you can see the towering behind the Himmelschrofen Allgäu main ridge, as comparatively low is the mountain.

On the Himmelschrofen cause no marked trails, but only hard to find hunter walkways.
