HMAS Farncomb (SSG 74)

The HMAS Farncomb (SSG 74) is the second -built submarine of the Australian Collins class.

The ship is named after the Australian Rear Admiral Harold Farncomb. Farncomb commanded in World War II several Allied warships and Einsatzgruppen.

The submarine was laid in 1991 in Osborne in Adelaide on keel and put into service in 1998.
