History
Hódmezővásárhely is the fourth largest city in southern Hungary. The German translation of the name is as much as marketplace on the Bibersfeld. The city is located about 25 km northeast of Szeged.
Mayor of the city since 2002, the same place, born in 1975, Dr. János Lázár, which was confirmed in 2006 in the office and has belonged since 1999, the national-conservative Fidesz party. The actual name was until 1949 Hódmezővásárhely - Kutaspuszta. On January 1, 1950, the village under the name Vásárhelykutas was an independent municipality, which was renamed in Székkutas little later.
