Hoedspruit ( Afrikaans for, Hutfluss ' ) is a small South African town at the foot of the Little Drakensberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province. The town lies on the railway line from Mbombela to Louis Trichardt. The Pride of Africa luxury train stops there. Hoedspruit is situated at an altitude of 533 meters above the sea level.

The town grew in recent years because of its proximity to a number of private game reserves east of the Kruger National Park resistant. Hoedspruit has a military airfield, but also on the civil aviation is approved. The IATA code is HDS. During operation of the Space Shuttle, this was a possible emergency landing in the event of an unscheduled landing.
