The Hofsee is north of the Great lakes of the lake district lake lying in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is located west of the town of New Gaarz. It has an approximate length of 1500 meters and an approximate width of 600 meters. It is embedded in the terminal moraine of the Mecklenburg Switzerland.
