Hohne is a municipality of the velvet municipality Lachendorf in the district of Celle, Lower Saxony, and includes the former municipalities Hohne, Helmerkamp and Spechtshorn.

Geography
Hohne located on the Wiehe, a right tributary of the black water that flows in low squatting in the Aller.
History
The " Working Group Hohner village history " until 2009, another of appearing in the Samtgemeinde monographs for the individual villages developed ( Volume I to III). He has found as the earliest mention of the place: Bere de Hone received on Ascension Day in 1313 inherited the fief of a court to Hohne from the monastery of St. Aegidien in Braunschweig verlehnt again. This monastery founded in 1115 Gertrud of Brunswick, Margrave of Meissen, last heir to the Brunonen.

Culture and sights
Structures
North of Hohne, on Glindmoor, direction Hohnhorst, located on a field of the manor Hohne on plowed soil residues of a motte. It was probably a mound on the original one ( wooden ) tower stood. It was found previously only wood residues. These plants had been on 9, partially until the beginning of the 13th century, built by the 10th century. An archaeologist spoke of a presumably emanating from Beedenbostel fortification. Further studies on the age of the wood palisades found are lost for financial reasons so far. Therefore, we can only guess that the motte was (perhaps together with the fixed tower in Beedenbostel ) built or concurrently with the Mundsburg before 995.
Today's Hohner Knight manor from the 18th century is, in part, on the walls of the old castle, which the young Gifhorner robber baron Hendrik von Veltheim to have destroyed on July 11, 1372 in the wake of the Lüneburg Trusts dispute.
0.7 m below the present ground level are still paved areas and large rock fragments of old foundations, suggesting that here once stood a small castle. Similar to the castle Heeßel at Heeßel, at the castles and Depenau Covered Missen at the Aue Flotwedel the area at that time was wetter than today, and from the north, from her Grethegau, inaccessible.
Part of the building was converted to other bodies of the manor in the 20th century.
The neo-Romanesque church of the Ascension of 1913 in Hohne has taken altar, organ, pulpit and baptismal font of the earlier church.
In Hohne is also the " Hohner cold house " in which it is a cold store. The plant is operated by the oldest Lower Saxony freezer Community ( Kalthaus Community Hohne 1955 eV ) jointly for the villagers.

There is a primary school ( catchment area Ahnsbeck, Helmerkamp, Hohne, Spechtshorn ) and a local library ( school 1).
Sports
The tennis club Hohne / Spechtshorn was founded in 1955. The game is played on four tennis courts, which are located directly on the forest pool.
The association forest pool Hohne / Spechtshorn care of the forest pool, which likewise primarily serves the youth sports. The youth swim pass can be purchased from the local branch of the German Life Saving Society.
