Holger Höhne

Holger Höhne ( born May 6, 1970 in Füssen) is a former German curling player. Höhne is two time European champion and twelve times German Champion. After end of his career he close giert as youth coach in Fussen. In 2012 he was nominated as coach of the German curling team for the Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2012 in Innsbruck.

Career

With the curling Höhne began at the age of 17 years. Since 1992, he joined the team of Andreas Kapp at Curling Club feet with which he became one of the most successful German curling players.

His first track he celebrated in 1992 at the European Championships in Perth, Scotland. He repeated at the Championships in Fussen 1997 This success. At World Championships Höhne reached third three times ( 1994, 1995, 2005) and in 1997 in Bern and 2007 in Edmonton Vice World Champion. Höhne participated in the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games in 2006 and 1998 in part. The team reached two eighth places and a sixth place.

The World Cup 2011 was his last international tournament. The "Team Kapp " finished the tournament in sixth place.

At the national level, he secured with the curling club feet total of 12 German league titles: 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
